New Season, New Wins

Hey Backgammoners,

March was one for the books. We wrapped the month with unforgettable events, and the vibes were on point. This club truly thrives on the collective energy of its members.

Our champs of the month:

• The Moore Tournament: 1st Place Lolo, 2nd Place Theron

• Mini Tournament at The Standard: 1st Place Patrice, 2nd Place Khadiga

We have to give a very special shoutout to Khadiga, a first-time attendee at The Standard and our first-ever female finalist. A Miami local of Egyptian descent, she learned to play from her grandfather who, according to her, was unbeatable. We’re pretty sure he’d be proud. We certainly are.

We also launched our Coffee Shop Series with a beautiful night at Navi, celebrating Persian New Year with a delicious nut mix and ice cream among new friends and classic dice rolls.

The gates are open, and we’re coming in hot:

• April 9 - Soho Beach House
  We haven’t hosted here in a while and are thrilled to return. Expect casual style play with a sea breeze and the signature Picantes.

• April 20 - Tropezón x Cowboy Colostrum
  Come for cowboy vibes, bottomless paella, and welcome cocktails infused with colostrum. We’ve got prizes, and a whole lot of dice waiting on Española Way. Cowboy boots highly encouraged.

What is Colostrum? The new it thing in health … and we are hooked on it!
Colostrum is the nutrient-rich, immune-boosting first milk produced by cows or other mammals. It’s packed with antibodies, growth factors, and vitamins that support gut health, energy, and overall vitality.

For our April event at Tropezón, we’re partnering with Cowboy Colostrum, a bold brand founded by a team of mostly women based between Miami and LA. Their approach is modern and wellness-focused, and they’re helping us bring a whole new kind of energy to the backgammon table. They are favored in LA at the signature market Erewhon and have been amazing partners to MBS planning this party for you all.

• April 24 - Coffee Shop Series TBA

  • The Coffee Shop Series is our way of bringing the community together across Miami’s neighborhoods, hosting intimate gatherings in cozy venues that capture the city’s spirit. Because really, what’s a better combo than backgammon and coffee?

• April 30 - The Moore Tournament Night
  We end the month with our signature tournament and a very special Greek prize for the champ.
