What happened in 2025?
This year, Backgammon Social grew into five cities from Miami to London, Philly to San Francisco, and now New York. We hosted elegant tournaments, cozy game nights, and playful collaborations in design-forward venues. Thank you for being part of the movement, the board is set for an even bigger 2026.

Your 2026 Backgammon Horoscope
If you roll doubles early:
Lean in. 2026 rewards bold openings and confident first moves. Take space, trust your instincts, and don’t hesitate to lead, at the board and beyond.
If the game starts slow:
Patience is to your advantage. This year favors long strategies, thoughtful positioning, and resisting the urge to rush what’s still unfolding.
If the board gets messy:
Good. Disorder often signals momentum. Stay adaptable, read the room, and remember that backgammon always favors those who can pivot gracefully.
If luck surprises you:
Accept it. Sometimes the universe hands you a gift. The real skill is knowing how and when to play it.
Now that the dice have spoken, we’ll return to the board. January invites reflection and momentum in equal measure. As we step into a new year, we’re taking a moment to look back at what we built together and to set the board for what’s ahead.
One of the highlights of this past season has been our tournaments and, of course, the players themselves. Below, you’ll find some recent tournament winners, players who knew when to press, when to wait, and when not to blame the dice (never blame the dice!)
